At Zyra, vodka is a blank canvas for bold ideas. What began as a series of late-night flavour experiments among friends has become a line of premium, small-batch vodkas designed to surprise and delight. Distilled 30 times for exceptional smoothness, each bottle captures our dedication to purity, craftsmanship and unforgettable taste.
How It Started
Built for a gap on Alberta shelves.
Zyra started with a simple observation: Alberta liquor shelves had plenty of vodka, but nothing that was bold, flavour-forward and genuinely local. Our founder set out to fill that gap, and the first three bottles were built around it: Zyra Gold, distilled 30 times; Coco Mist, a pineapple coconut vodka; and Root Beer Rush, an all-natural root beer vodka.
The idea found its people fast. Today Zyra is poured at Oilers Entertainment Group events at the Outdoor Fan Park and the Edmonton Convention Centre, at Edmonton spots like Public Exchange, Bower, 101 Club and O’Byrne’s Irish Pub, and stocked at Co-op Liquor locations across North Central Alberta.

Every bottle starts with Alberta-grown triticale grain, run through a proprietary 30x distillation method and triple-filtered through partnerships with Hansen Distillery and The Fort Distillery. It’s a process built for purity first, character second.
